New Horizon's is a shelter for victims of domestic violence in La Crosse County - Wisconsin. This project is designed to raise funds to assist with shelter, healthy food, clothing, and basic needs. Additional support is provided by trained staff members to support healing and develop coping strategies and life skills. This project would include financial support to assist with these services. Living Simply Well will provide yoga classes and sound bath experiences to public workers including but not limited to Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, Healthcare workers, public works, volunteers, and other non profit organizations at a donation-based service. All moneys collected would be donated to New Horizon's. Our shelter, whose location remains undisclosed for safety reasons, has 18 beds, and is staffed 24/7 by dedicated crisis advocates. These advocates not only provide around-the-clock care but also manage our 24/7 crisis line, offering immediate assistance. Our Domestic Violence Rapid Rehousing program provides housing assistance and supportive services to survivors fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, stalking, or human trafficking.
