Sătmărel is a marginalized community in Satu Mare, Romania, where more than 450 people, including 182 children, live in extreme poverty and social isolation. Over 85% of preschool-aged children do not attend kindergarten, while poverty, illiteracy and limited access to services affect their educational development. Through the House for the Future – Early Childhood Education Center in Sătmărel, Asociația STEA aims to bring education and support directly into the community. The center will provide a safe environment for children aged 0–6, with early education, language and cognitive development, hygiene education and learning through play. Parents will receive counseling, practical workshops and opportunities for mother-child activities. Children aged 7–14 will benefit from homework support, educational assistance, psychosocial counseling and personal development activities. The project focuses on prevention, education and long-term support for vulnerable children and their families.
